It's good to live with flowers
A czechoslovakian wolfdog in the countryside.
A czechoslovakian wolfdog in the countryside.
There was a specialized show in the top of Sanabria's castle.
Misty didn't win her class, she had the bad luck of competing against, in my opinion, the best wolfdog pedigree in Spain at the moment - Ira von der Wolfsschleife.
Anyway, the sweetest thing of the show was to touch and observe the majority of spanish wolfdogs.
Last days we were in a wolfdog meeting in Spain, village of Puebla de Sanabria. Beautiful landscapes.
It was a great time... seeing different breed lines, meeting new dogs and talking with people who also love these little devils.
Misty turned the heat on again after the contact with dogs. Because of that she was very protective, almost the opposite she uses to be with all dogs in socialization class. Women are strange in all species...
Excellent - 2nd Female in Junior class.
Misty competed against Afrodita, who won.
The best thing was socialization with other wolfdogs, in a total of 13.
Worse than expected
Dominance - less agressive, more mental.
Better than expected
Destruction - we were prepared to a mass destruction but she destroys less than a Labrador.
Things I confirmed soon
A smartness not common in "normal dogs" - a trick or a treat :)
She lives for the pack - the best reward is to sleep in our sofa by our side.
She has much energy, would be very hard in an apartment.
Our baby is now 1 year old. How quick it was...
It's really demanding and sometimes tough to educate a wolfdog.
Misty is a dominant female and still has some behavior problems. A bit too exuberant to strangers and still using a lot the mouth to express feelings. At least it never hurts now.
With us she is much calmer. She is totally addicted to us. Obsessed. Where we are is where she wants to be. She is becoming very docile, licking a lot and begging for our protection. It's a joy to play with her, she loves to run with me... and it feels good.
With other dogs she is a perfect dog. She loves to play with dogs. At saturdays she meets her friends and play 3 hours non-stop. She is even very tolerant to agressive dogs, rarely replies to agressive feelings. That's why we are never afraid to get closer to a dog on the street.
Many ripped clothes and some things destroyed. Hundreds of "NOs". Some stupid behaviors. Our garden is a mess. But what comes to my mind is this quote from the movie "Marley & Me":
You know how we're always saying what a pain you are, you're the world's worst dog. Don't believe it, don't believe it for one minute because you know we couldn't find a better dog, I love you, more than anything. You're a great dog, I love you.
This is an important year for Misty:
She will compete in shows for a title.
She will do the dysplasia exam.
She will become adult.
